In May of 2009 the 12,900 square-feet interpretive space will open featuring exhibits on the land, the seasons and the peoples of Fairbanks, Interior Alaska and the Arctic. The exhibits will celebrate Alaskans who have helped to shape the state, illustrate how Alaskans use the land to making a living. They will also highlight winter activities and events, and introduce the visitor to Fairbanks-based tourism businesses, rural tourism operations in towns and Alaska Native communities across the region.
