juneau informationJuneau Convention & Visitors Bureau operates four info centers in the Juneau area. They are located at the Juneau International airport, ferry terminal, cruise ship terminal (Dock D) and an Information kiosk downtown, beside the public library on Marine Way. Call 907-586-2201 or 1-888-581-2201.

Mendenhall Glacier Visitor Center in Tongass National Forest. 13 miles from downtown Juneau. The center was built in 1962, the first visitor center in the National Forest System. Originally designed to accommodate only 23,000 visitors per year, now over 400,000 people visit Mendenhall Glacier annually to see the enormous ice field flowing down the valley. $3 admission. 907 789-0097

U.S. Forest Service Information Center has displays and programs about the history and resources of Southeast Alaska. 8465 Old Dairy Road.

ATM First Bank located at the corner of Front St. & Seward Avenue.

Internet access: at the Library and various downtown locations.

Propane/Water/Dump
Propane, 3850 Mendenhall Loop Road, halfway to the glacier. 907-789-7840.  RV gas, appliance repairs and safety inspections.

Valley Tesoro (at entrance to Mendenhall Mall on the way to Mendenhall Glacier) has propane, free water, dump station and self-service car and camper wash.
