Anchorage Museum, Alaska’s largest museum, the Anchorage Museum tells the real story of the North. Explore the full diversity of Alaska Native cultures, including masterworks of Alaska Native art and design from the collections of the Smithsonian Institution. A hands-on science discovery center features marine life tanks, a planetarium and more. The Anchorage Museum is located in downtown Anchorage on the corner of 6th Ave and C St. Open 9 am-6pm daily May 1 to Sept 30. Winter hours take effect Oct 1: 10 am-6 pm Tuesday-Saturday, noon-6 pm Sundays, closed Mondays. The Anchorage Museum store is named among the world’s 10 best by Conde Nast Traveler. On-site restaurant and coffee bar.
