Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure

Glacier Gardens Rainforest Adventure is an exquisitely landscaped Alaskan botanical garden featuring fallen trees, which are turned upside-down, stuck into the ground trunk first, then planted with flowers that bloom in colorful cascades! Reader’s Digest featured the Upside-Down Flower Towers at Glacier Gardens as the Most Interesting Landmark in America in 2012.

Guided tours aboard covered shuttles travel over 50 acres of Southeast Alaska’s premiere rainforest garden while one of the well trained driver guides provides you with an in-depth understanding of the temperate rainforest’s fascinating ecosystem as well as the diverse plant and animal life found here. The friendly knowledgeable guides escort you past astonishing garden creations, waterfalls, rock gardens and of course the unique upside down trees. There are fantastic panoramic views of Juneau. The Visitor’s Center features a look into an active bald eagles nest on the grounds.

A café, gift shop, and wildlife viewing area are located in the Garden Atrium. Open 9-6, May – September. 7600 Glacier Hwy. 907-790-3377
