S.S. Klondike National Historic Site

S.S. Klondike is one of two remaining sternwheelers in the Yukon and is located on the banks of the Yukon River, at the south end of downtown Whitehorse. Between the 1860s and the 1950s over 250 sternwheelers plied the Yukon River and its tributaries, changing forever the way people lived life along the river. Visit the S.S. Klondike National Historic Site to learn the fascinating stories of the sternwheeler era, enjoy the outdoor exhibit, guided tours, and the new escape room. The S.S. Klondike opens from May long weekend to September long weekend.
