This 582 km/362-mile highway connects Watson Lake (km 1022 on the Alaska Highway) with Carmacks (km 356 on the Klondike Highway).

You may choose to turn south at Ross River and follow the Canol Road 210 km/130.5 miles and rejoin the Alaska Highway at km 1345 (Canol Road Junction),  check for road conditions, especially if you are driving a large RV.

km 35.5/mile 22 Tom Creek.

km 54.2/mile 33.7 Bridge over Frances River. Picnic spot. Grayling.

km 83/mile 51.6 Simpson Lake Yukon government campground. 10 campsites, water, kitchen shelter, boat launch. $8 fee. Fishing.

km 93/mile 57.8 Simpson Lake, parking area with lake access.

km 110/mile 68.4 Junction. Nahanni Range Road heads northeast for 190 km/118 miles to Canada Tungsten Mine. No facilities on Nahanni Range Road.  Road is not maintained.

km 114/mile 70.8 Yukon government Tuchitua River maintenance camp.

km 114.2/mile 71 Tuchitua River. One-lane bridge.

km 161/mile 100 99 Mile Creek.

km 170/mile 105.6 Caesar Creek.

km 175/mile 108.7 Frances Lake Yukon government campground. 24 campsites, kitchen shelter, water, boat launch. $8 fee.

km 175.2/mile 108.8 Money Creek.

km 206/mile 128 Van Bibber Creek.

km 312/mile 193.9 Bridge over Hoole River. The Hoole and Pelly rivers  join here.

km 341/mile 211.9 Bruce Creek.

km 351/mile 218.1 Ketza River.

km 353/mile 219.4 Little Ketza Creek.

km 355/mile 220.6 Junction. South Canol Road leads 210 km/130.5 miles  to Alaska Highway and Johnson's Crossing Campground. North Canol Road leads  9 km/5.6 miles to Ross River, trailers and larger units should use alternate  road at km 374/mile 232.4. Jackfish Lake at this junction has pike and whitefish.

km 374/mile 232.4 Main road to Ross River. Rest area.

Ross River. Community with all travel facilities including campground. Hospital 969-2222. The Welcome Inn, Ross River, has hotel units, a restaurant,  licensed lounge. Ross River Service Centre, gas, oil, tires and visitor facilities.

km 376/mile 233.5 Lapie Canyon Yukon government campground. 18 camp sites, kitchen shelter, water (boil), hiking trails. $8 fee.

km 428/mile 266 Faro. Access via 8 km/5 mile side road. Small cottage hospital 994-4444. All travel facilities are available. Faro Hotel and Sally's Roadhouse offer accommodation and RV parking. Dump station at municipal and  private campgrounds. Town office.

km 432/mile 268 Johnson Lake Yukon government campground. 15 camp  sites, water shelter, boat launch is located 3.5 km/2.2 miles along this access road to Faro. $8 fee.

km 470/mile 292 Faro Lodge.

km 483/mile 300 Short side road to Drury Creek Yukon government campground on Little Salmon Lake, 6 camp sites, water, shelter, boat launch, grayling fishing at mouth of creek. $8 fee.

km 517/mile 321 Steep, winding side road to Little Salmon Yukon government campground, 15 camp sites, water, shelter, boat launch, trout, pike, grayling.  $8 fee.

km 560/mile 348 Frenchman's Lake Campground. 8 km/5 miles on Frenchman  Rd. 10 camp sites, boat launch. Trout, pike, grayling. $8 fee. Nunatak Yukon  government campground. 15 km/9.3 miles on Frenchman Rd. (narrow & rough).  10 camp sites and fishing. Fee area.

km 572/mile 355.4 Junction of Campbell Highway and Klondike Highway.
