Sterling is a small highway community that has several businesses that cater to the traveler. It is at the confluence at the Kenai and the Moose Rivers. There are extensive canoe trail systems with excellent fishing. Post Office at mile 81.5.

Accommodations
Alaska Mountainview Cabins. Three large custom built cabins, along with a Guest House can comfortably sleep from 4-10 people. For your comfort and pleasure private phones and T.V. are provided. and BBQ grills for each cabin and the Guest House. There is a VCR provided upon request.

Camping
Bing Brown’s RV Park, full hook-ups, showers, laundry and dump station.

Bing’s Landing State Recreation Site. Camping, picnic area and boat launch.

Isaak Walton State Recreation Site. 38 camp sites, water, toilets, boat ramp.  

Services
Cook’s Corner Tesoro - Deli and fresh hot foods, halibut baskets, onion rings, Espresso and fresh bakery items and ice cream. Extensive selection of beverages and snacks. A fully modern service station operated by a long time Alaskan family.
