Portage Pass Trail is an easy 2 mile hike (one way) to see Portage Glacier. If you choose not to take a boat tour with Portage Glacier Cruises out of Portage, this trail is the only way to see beautiful Portage Glacier. The trail starts near the Whittier Tunnel (on the Whittier side) and ends at the shore of Portage Lake.
