Valdez Fish Derbies holds a Kids Pink Salmon Derby, Silver Salmon Derby and a Halibut Derby with more than $70,000 in cash and prizes being given away. The Halibut Derby runs May 23rd through Sept. 6th with a 10-day Halibut Hullabaloo tournament June 12th through 21st. The Valdez Silver Salmon Derby runs July 25th through Sept. 6th, with two winners every day and a $10,000 grand prize for the largest fish. The Halibut Derby features two winners each week and there is a one-day Women’s Silver Salmon Derby August 8th.
