Valdez Museum & Historical Archive

Valdez Museum brings the history of Valdez, to life through engaging exhibits at two locations. The main museum at 217 Egan Drive features displays on Native culture, the Gold Rush, the Trans Alaska Pipeline, and the Exxon Valdez oil spill, along with rotating local art exhibits. The Remembering Old Valdez Exhibit at 436 South Hazelet Avenue showcases a scale model of Old Town Valdez before the 1964 Good Friday Earthquake. There are also exhibits on the earthquake, tsunami, and everyday life in the 1950s and 60s.
