mile 351.2/km 565 Turn-off for Ester (population approximately 200), a former gold mining camp. Drive .4 miles, turn right on road marked Ester, and drive .2 miles to an intersection. Turn left for Ester post office and Ester Gold Camp (hotel with dining and old-time saloon), turn right for residential area.
The Malemute Saloon at Ester has been one of Fairbanks' leading visitor attractions for the last 28 years. See article in Things to Do section in Fairbanks. Recreational vehicle parking is available. 

mile 353.5/km 568.9 Gold Hill Tesoro

mile 355.8/km 572.6 Sheep Creek Road. Road to Murphy Dome (this is a restricted military site).

mile 356.8/km 574.2 Turn-off to the University of Alaska, Geist Road where there is a post office, Chena Ridge Loop and Chena Pump Road, where the old Chena Pump House National Historical Site is located. The Chena Pumphouse is one of Fairbanks' finest restaurants.

mile 357.7/km 575.6 Bridge over Chena River.

mile 357.8/km 575.8 Exit to Fairbanks International Airport.

mile 358/km 576 Fairbanks. Parks Highway crosses Airport Way and becomes Mitchell Expressway. Follow Airport Way for downtown Fairbanks and visitor facilities or continue straight ahead for the Richardson Highway with access to the Alaska Highway.
